ARCHITECTS & BUILDERS
We recommend our proprietary double layer system. By achieving the R value rating required using two thinner layers of insulation instead of one thicker, a complete ceiling coverage is achievable, as well as the elimination over any gaps. The end result gives unparalleled performance and is the most efficient thermal barrier for the product used.

Thicker R value segments are in inserted between ceiling rafters. This ensures possibility of air movement is minimised as the insulation segments completely fill the voids. Insulation will not fully cover the narrow edges.

Thicker R value insulation is rolled out across over the top of ceiling rafters.
Excellent coverage is easily attained, including rafters. Insulation will not reach to the narrow edges and care must be taken to ensure gaps are not opened as this can lead to air movement in the cavities underneath.

Terra Lana promotes design and construction using complimentary materials for cladding, insulation and lining.
If all these materials used allow sufficiently permeability or ventilation, this allows Terra Lana Wool Blend insulation to optimally perform it's hygroscopic and thermal mediating functions (to breathe). The result is a structure that can naturally dehumidify and regulate the interior of the building to be more consistent in temperature.
